Beating The Summer Heat

The U.S. Green Building Council’s Green Home Guide is a great resource for learning how to maintain a home that’s more energy efficient. Whether it’s choosing a low-flow toilet, updating your roof or learning basic energy saving processes, the company’s website has some great tips and ideas.

One of their best articles, “10 Ways to Beat the Summer Heat,” offers ten terrific tips on being more efficient when cooling your home during these hot summer months, in a cost effective manner. Managing your thermostat, using sun blockers and cooking smart are only a few topics the article covers.
